I am an Extreme visual-spatial. Some say gifted, others say excentric.

My passion is education for children as a whole. Learning difficulties, gifted, visual-spatial etc etc.

I find different programmes for different styles here in my country.

I have 2 children with different learning styles and homeschool one of them.

I have questions for you all as well but I will wait.

I write poetry, sing, run a youth theatre group, sports, life education, activities for the youth etc etc.

Some would tell you I am ADHD but I see it as having fun.

They say this as the group I run consists of 17 children from 7yrs old to 16yrs old, and they cant keep up with me. I tire them out.

I call it a passion for life. They call it too much chocolate.

Dear Mrs. Elizabeth,

It is an honour for me to acknowledge your coming between us. On behalf of the IRSCA Gifted Education – Romania, I am pleased to welcome you.

Our organisation has as target group the romanian gifted children and youth, considering first of all their development as the key issue in the efforts we pursue. Secondary, but also very important, we look at the possibilities of implementing into the legal frame the needed ads-on in order to make finally use as much as possible of the capabilities of these outstanding people to the sake of social wellness in Romania.

Coming back to you, in my opinion, the one of a not-formally trained specialist, you are completely excluded from any possible ADHD scenario. A key element in the differential diagnosis of such a syndrome is the (evident or hidden) self-focused interest of the hyperactive person. This seems to mismatch completely your picture. On the other hand, it is true that a delicate situation (as the diagnostic and the situation management are concerned) can occur, namely the presence of ACTIVE giftedness and ADHD – simultaneously and I stress it: SIMULTANEOUSLY. The key element to confirm or rule out this possibility is the self-coherence of the thinking of the person diagnosed. Eventually, after decrease of thinking coherence in such situations, loss of thinking coherence occurs, followed immediately by behavioural uncoherence.
Your picture - at this moment – rules completely this possibility.
It is true that for gifted people with very difficult life circumstances (especially in the afective sphere), an alternance 1. giftedness 2. (sleeping giftedness) + ADHD (or whatever) is possible. From your details it is clear that you have more than enough elements in your psi environment to stay always stable and ACTIVE gifted.

So: talking in your case is, in my opinion, non-sense. Now and (with a huge chance) ever (afterall, God knows it better...).


Nevertheless, a good thing to do for you, at this (advanced) stage would be to be assesed by a specialist in the giftedness problematic.

In this respect, we would be also very interested, from many points of view, to get as many relevant information as possible about the network of practinioners in the gifted field in Australia. Perhaps a very good starting point will be Mr. Tony Nolan (see for reference his personal website http://www.gftd.org/). He is (based) in Australia and has a big interest in the giftednessissues and also a very special interest in visual spatial people. In the preliminary contacts, you could eventually mention the contact with us and the names of our organization and of our President, Prof. Dr. Florian Colceag.

We are very interested in a very good quality and long duration contact with you. And I am saying this from all points of view, but first of all placing your fascinanting personality in the middle of the meaning of our contact.

I hope to be able to appoint in the near future a Romanian International Relations Relations Representative for Australia and after that moment, the contacts between you and us will go even smoother than now, when I feel they are already quite nice.

I have given the wrong impression with myEnglish. Your English is a lot better than mine, and very good.

I have already been assessed. The ADHD matter is a Joke here amongst my friends. There is not very often seen here a 44yr old woman who is energetic with children. We have children who have been diagnosed with ADHD and we do not have a problem with them. We give them 3 things to do instead of one. Our group consists of children that do not fit 'into' the system here.

Thank youfor your advice regarding Tony Nolan. He asked me to speak to you all to help you. That is how I found your site. He knows of my knowledge and passion for children, youth, gifted and VS needs.

There is also Lesley Sword, Maxine Cowie, Gifted Resources etc etc that I am able to put you all in contact with.

I am building up a package of information, referals, specialists, programmes etc to post over to you so you can SEE what we do here in Victoria. I have allowed for 5kg of postage weight.

This way you have a sort of Library at your finger tips. This also includes approx 100 trial CD ROM's that are trial one for people who cannot download a trial of the programmes.

I believe that the more information you have the better able to assist the children youare.

I also have information for Learning Difficulties, Visual-spatial, gifted, ADHD etc, of programmes that have a 90% success rate here in Victoria.

I also can make available for you specialist teachers who teach the whole of learning and not just the parts.

I also have information on Dyslexia, vision problems that interfere with learning and Central Auditory proccessing disorder, figure ground differential hearing disorder, short term auditory memory and short term visual memory.

I dont give just 100% of effort. I give 150% of effort, for the children and youth. But also the adults.

I study Dabrowski, Plato, etc. I love Harmonics, Engineering and Physics.

I am trying to translate your Education Act etc to better understand your Government. I am reading as much as I can about the people, your stories, your storytellers.

If you want or need me to approach any one in Government here for you I will. I know some of them as well.

If you would like a computer conference, video link up, give me time and I will arrange it.

There are also homeschooling groups I can put you in touch with, and just plain old fun activities for the children groups as well.

If you want the children and youth to have contact with school children and youth here, ask and I will arrange it. And it will all be done with safety of the children and on a secure set up.

I always do what I say I will do.

Not as fast as I would like it to happen, but it gets done.

I do not suggest one programme or specialist only, as I believe YOU should have choices as you know your children and youth better than I do.

And I do it all for free. I ask nothing and expect nothing for all of this and anything else you may need.

If you have anybody who is coming here for a tour or anything my door is open for you. It is not anything fancy but it is home warmth.

I will organise meetings, tours etc for you all and cost effective to allow more freedom of movement.

This is why Tony thought I could be of help. For you and the children.

I found out in time, that giving-processing-receiving is a complex process, when it's about Human beings. Too much and too less are very relative and a lot of care of finding the processing way of each of us is needed.

First I would like to say sorry. I spelt Catalin's name wrong in my last post. Never again will I do that.

The intention is there and the action is happening. I have received yesterday a package from the United Kingdom of CD ROM's, today a package of a big portfolio containing programmes, activities, specialists, Psychologists, Audiologists etc etc.
The portfolio was donated by Gifted Resources here in Victoria.
They have Web links, email addresses etc as well so you can look them up and SEE for yourselves the beauty of the programmes.

As I am still collecting as much as I can and writing up a list of links etc it will take me approximately 3 weeks from today.

I am sorry but I am on what is called here the pension. I bring my children up on my own now. It is easier for me to pay for one package than bits and pieces all over the place.

I hope this is quick enough to be helpful.

Home? I have not found mine yet. I settle were I am needed at the time and when the time is right, I move on. I can plant Roses anywhere.
I can make a home comfort anywhere. The more remote the better.
But it will be a long long time before I AM home. My real home.

Yes and with the computer, I see it in layers the pictures, but also the feelings with it, emotions.

And in answer to your quote on the bottom of your posting.

Thoughts control our emotions but intuition is humankind that cannot be imitated and is part of our soul.

Actions speak louder than words, but there are so little people who actually act that it is a bigger job for the ones that do act. And we rise to the Challenge.

I believe in everyone being able to have choices. And with this package there are definetly choices. Lots of them. I received more today in the mail and have the box ready and filling it. And all this customs paper work to fill in as well.

At the rate it is coming in I will have to send two packages sorry, as I want to get it to you asap. And this one is filling up. So you can have a library reference system on hand.

I am trying to get 10 of each of all the brochures etc but I was wondering if it is alright to send just the one of each in the post, and you photocopy them for everyone. Or else I am going to have that many to send, I may need a whole plane to transport them on their own.

My children want to send a Boomerang as well. Is that alright with you?

It is one that you can actually use, a real one, not a gift shop one.

There wont be a fight among you all over who's office it is going to be in?

My computer crashed and I am learning to use a laptop.

It is so small.

The VS links are very helpful as they are written for the people, not for just documentation.

They are able to be read by everyone.

The words have pictures as well and comfort of not feeling so alone.

It wasnt until I understood the total difference between auditory sequential thought proccessing compared to visualspatial proccessing that I stopped feeling an injustice, and instead an understanding.

Our proccessing speed if I remember rightly is about 34 pictures to every 4 words of an auditory sequential learner.

Magnificent whole vivid moving pictures that are not able to be put into so few words.

Can you count the brush stokes of a canvas for the whole picture?
Can you compare the pictures in your mind to a poem that is written.

The written word is in 2D and not changed to show different pictures once it is written.
But all VS see differnt or simular (but always slightly different interpretation) pictures for the poem that is written.

Read my poetry and speak with each other as to the visuals you get with them. They are the same with the permanent images of main words and sentences but the imagination visuals are uniquely individual to the persons percption of reality.

It is warped, curved, and an ever changing path.

If you all made a movie seperately of the poem, they would be different but still the same due to the restriction of certain words.

That is why education Acts, equal opportunity Acts etc are interpreted differently by everyone.

The same words but different perceptions of the reality of the need and the giving.

Do you SEE and understand my words and the pictures I create with words.
Or are yur perceptions of words only and the darkness and emptiness of the perception of words.

We need words but we need the mixture with the visuals to make it a human reality.

I believe in the auditory sequential and the VS working together.

It is called balance as one isnt better than the other.
They just have differnt functions that will be benificial for humankind as a whole and not broken parts crumbling.

I am on what we call here a soap box.

I usually end up with a crowd of people around me when I speak here.

I dont have the answers I tell them, I just SEE paths of distinct possibilities.

Hi Elisabeth,

Thank you for the link. I will " feel" it after I write to you.

I share the same deep feelings with you, about " words", images, audio , crowds etc.

For this reason, I need a time to be only with myself, feeling that the overload is huge. I';m not tired,in the normal sense of the word, I just feel I know through seeing so much and if I express in words it's too limited. The effort of this conversion sometime is useful for that person, but sometimes, I have to stop, not to harm anyone.

As a whole, the picture is wonderful, but the injustice that it's not understood, seen, etc. at the same dimension level is a pity. Or, maybe this is the lesson ! Who can be right in saying This is good/This is bad?!
This Life is just a Time for School, to learn/apply/ what some already know and some will, another time.

This trip in time, before THE WORD was , WITH THE WORD(s) and AFTER...is a spiral wchich " nurtures" mankind sine Alfa to Omega, in a perpetuum mobile.
